Start with the simple route

The easiest airport connection is the Michigan Flyer-AirRide coach from Detroit Metro Airport (DTW) to East Lansing. Once you are here, the conference, hotel, downtown, and campus are all close together.

Walk out the door and find your people

Downtown East Lansing is directly across Grand River Avenue from campus, with restaurants, coffee shops, bars, bookstores, retail, services, and plenty of places to linger.

Start close, then wander

Two especially convenient options are already inside the conference orbit: Poindexter is in the Graduate lobby, and Strange Matter is on the first floor of the MSU Union. Downtown adds several more cafés within a short walk.

Breakfast, lunch, pastries, and coffee without leaving the hotel. The lobby seating also makes this an easy place to catch up with another attendee.

MSU is a large, green campus with museums, gardens, performances, and quiet places to walk. These are easy additions before the first session, between events, or on Sunday afternoon.
